Southern Resistance Coalition is a grassroots, non-partisan collective of citizens from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and surrounding areas.
Our goal is to unite people from all political backgrounds around a common cause: creating a just, equitable, and democratic future that works for all of us, not just a fortunate few.
We believe liberty and justice should be universal truths, and are committed to championing causes that work toward restoring and improving civil rights for all. Because of that, we are fiercely dedicated to ending the rise of MAGA fascism and defending American democracy.

Push Back Against Rising Fascism in the United States
We believe liberty and justice should be universal truths, and are committed to championing causes that work toward restoring, and improving, civil rights for all.
We will also combat the spread of misinformation and propaganda that seeks to undermine truth and divide our nation.
We will strategically oppose and help defeat local political candidates who support the fascist agenda, while promoting and endorsing officials dedicated to democratic principles and community welfare.
Build Visible Power and Safety in Numbers:
We commit to regular, public protesting and sustained resistance efforts to maintain pressure on opposing forces and prevent the normalization of extremism.
Weekly Protesting is a vital tool that maintains pressure, builds community, and keeps up momentum.
We will increase the visibility of our movement through networking, online outreach, and wearing visible anti-fascist messaging (pins, shirts, bumper stickers) so that people feel empowered to speak up and know they are not alone. Our unified presence shows safety in numbers and emboldens democratic officials to act decisively on our behalf.
Strengthen Our Communities Through Mutual Aid:
We recognize that resistance begins at home. We also believe everyone deserves basic human decency, food, and shelter.
As governments fail their people, we will step up to strengthen the communities we live in by finding, sharing, and distributing essential resources and information.
By focusing on keeping our neighbors safe, fed, connected, and informed, we build the foundation of care and resilience vital for sustained resistance and thriving as a community.
