Weekly No Kings Protest
Join Southern Resistance Coalition and Indivisible Southern Action Network for a peaceful protest every Saturday from 12-2 pm in front of the Oak Ridge Library.
- Bring a non-perishable food donation for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity
- Bring a friend! The more the merrier.
- Bring a sign, or borrow one of our extras.
- You’re welcome to bring a chair.
- Stay the whole time or stop and show support as long as you’re able.
- Please stay out of the street at all times & only cross at crosswalks.
We believe the power of the people is stronger than the people in power, and that we are stronger together.
One way we build our strength is with our weekly Defending Democracy protests. Beyond just exercising our First Amendment rights every week we also use that time to share info, make connections, learn and educate others, collect and distribute food and local resources, and show solidarity with groups who don’t feel safe coming out to protest.
By focusing on keeping our neighbors safe, fed, connected, and informed, we can build the foundation of care and resilience vital for sustained resistance and thriving as a community. We take care of each other, we stand together.
